| November 26, 1981 Dear Dolly, Hi! Kumusta ka na? Hope you're doing fine. Pasensiya ka na if we don't write you often. We are very busy at school. Don't worry, next time we will try to write to you more often. Auntie Charito just came back from Lily's place at Angono. She got the money that you sent and also exchanged it. I think tomorrow she will go visit Baby, who will be leaving on Saturday. Auntie Charito already bought the letter holder and the shampoo that you wanted. Sorry ma ha, we were not able to go meet her. We are really busy at school. I am also at school on Saturdays. We only have Sundays free. Sometimes we are out on Sundays too. Our Field Day is almost here. I won't be participating in the dance, that meant lesser expenses. Lina will be participating. She already had her dress made. Our Field Day is on the afternoon of December 7. In the morning, we will have our C.A.T. Passing Review. All the cadet and cadettes (one batallion) will be marching in the school grounds. We will send you pictures after the Field Day. You'll finally see me in my fatigue uniform. We'll see if we can ask Miss Borromeo to join us in the pictures so you can see what she looks like. I competed in a Chemistry Contest at PNC, Philippine Normal College, in Taft Avenue last Monday. My classmate and I passed the first elimination round. The second elimination round was supposed to be today but there is a storm. Classes were cancelled since yesterday. But it's already clearing up. We will go back to school tomorrow. You know what ma, I didn't imagine how hard it is to be a president of a club. I have lots of responsibilities. I am not really an "active" president but I'm already pre-occupied. Anyway, inspite of that, I am happy. Just like that seminar-training that I attended. I really enjoyed it. Sometimes there are also meetings for presidents of all math clubs of schools in Manila. I meet students from different schools. And I get to go to other schools as well. Kaya okay lang naman. Nade-develop ang personality ko. O sige ma. Until here. Bye-bye. We love you. Love and Care, Irene |
