| October 6, 1981 Hello Dolly, Hi, Kumusta ka na? Hope you're doing fine. We are very busy here with our school activities. Today is Michelle's birthday. Do you still remember last year, we went to Luneta on her birthday. It will almost be a year since you've been there. October 22 is your anniversary, isn't it? NCEE is on Sunday, October 11. We are nervous because we don't think that we are quite ready yet. NCEE is a bit earlier this year than it was last year. NCEE was held in November last year. I'm quite certain that we will have a hard time this year. I will be competing in a Physics Contest on October 20. This will be held at Ramon Magsaysay High School. I am busy reviewing with my Physics teacher. I didn't take that U.P. Scholarship test. Nakukulitan na kasi ako sa guidance counsellor namin. Everytime I meet her, she's always asking for an affidavit. I couldn't give her an income tax return that's why she's insisting that I get an affidavit instead. I have to go to City Hall to get one, so I just quit. Anyway, there are other schools that are granting State Scholarships. Also, Miss Farroll, my Physics teacher told me that she will help me get an exam at U.P. She's taking her master's degree there. I really hope that I could get a scholarship there, if not, I'll just apply at other schools. Miss Borromeo wants to say hi. She usually goes home at the same time as Lina and they talk to each other all the time. Miss Borromeo lives with an aunt who is leaving for Canada. Her aunt is leaving soon and then Miss Borromeo will be left alone in the house. She asked us to visit her once in a while when her aunt leaves. There are news going around that our Christmas vacation would be as late as December 23 or 24. As you will remember, classes didn't start until July. Magbabayad kami ng utang. But that really sucks. It will almost be Christmas and we will still be attending classes. Usually on December 15 or 16, students are already lazy to attend classes, what more on Christmas Eve. And I'm pretty sure that the YMCians will be caroling by that time. I hope that we will have as much fun as we had last year. O sige ma, until here. Before I forget, we closed our savings account. We took out all the money because we are really tight with our allowance. Sige, bye. Ingat. Love lots, Irene |
