| The moment she first laid eyes on him when they went to preschool, she fell in love with the Football Head. It all started with her walking to school alone in the rain. Arnold asked if she wanted to get under the umbrella, and she fell for him. |
| Helga's love for Arnold has matured a bit since preschool. Her complex character seems aged beyond her years to withhold such powerful feelings at only 9 years of age. Helga even has built a shrine to him in her closet made out of his chewed bubble gum. Creepy? Yes. Kind of sweet at the same time as well... |
