Chapter 10
Chapter 10 - Theriat When I entered the living room part of Renkon's quarters, DJ was sitting near the door as if waiting for me. It turned out that he was waiting for me. He said that Renkon asked him to show me around the ship today and teach me the do's and don't of space travel. But my thinking process stopped on the part of Renkon asking. Can you believe it? I bet he just ordered the boy. There wasn't much to see on the ship except Saiyajin being Saiyajin. What's so new about that? But he led me to the far end of the ship, where the workers were. It turned out that it actually was the same ship that took me from Earth, and that it was bigger then I thought it was. DJ had begun to point out the various jobs each of the slaves on the ship had to do. He didn't seem to really have any indifference to the fact that it was slaves he was talking about. It took awhile for me to notice but there were some humans here too, and they were all staring at me. Most in confusion. Some in anger. I guess they wondered why someone of their kind was walking freely amongst the ship with an alien guide. Yet I was like them in a small way. Sure I didn't have to do any type of labor all day long but I'd rather do that then be some pet for Renkon. I looked down in shame. We left that part of the ship and back to Renkon's quarters. I was quiet the whole way. I guess DJ must have sensed my discomfort about the people as slaves since he didn't bother to say anything till we were in the rooms. Renkon came back near lunch time. Ordered the meal since there wasn't a kitchen, and it was big enough for him, DJ, and me. Lunch wasn't much, just meat and more meat with just some vegetables. "We're headed for planet Theriat," stated Renkon around what bird's leg he was eating. "What they do?" asked DJ politely. That caught my attention more then what Renkon said though. Why would the people of this planet have to do something for use to go? Was it the same reason for them coming to Earth? "A group of men on that planet were traitors and worked for the Hunters. So, our job is to eradicate it," he said with little much of interest. But why go destroy a whole planet because of a group of people? And who were the Hunters? I waited in silence incase they happened to answer my question but nothing more was said. After a few minutes passed I couldn't hold the question any longer. "Why?" I said, like it was out of the blue. "Why what?" said Renkon with out looking at me. "You mean about the planet? Because they were traitors. That's why." "But you said it was just a group. Why don't you just get rid of the group?" "Because more will become traitors for a revenge for the people in the group. Plus the group is too large to pick out each person and the population live from it. Plus it was my father's orders and I can't go against them." "That's right," said DJ. "It's not wise to go against the King of the Saiyajin." That's right Renkon is a prince so his father has to be the king. Great. Sorry people of Theriat. I tried to spare you even though I didn't know you. It didn't take long to get to the planet. It was a bright blue with blinking lights all on the night side of the planet. It had no moon of what I could see, and the sun was pretty far away. Must be a cold planet. I saw the little landing pod, which DJ showed me yesterday. It descended to the planet and landed on the day side. I decided right then and there, when I could see explosion go off from the Saiyajin destruction of the planet, that I would be very pissed off at Renkon for a long time. Even if the people were traitors and that I never met one of these aliens, I still feel it wrong. I smiled to myself. Pretty much all the Saiyajin were gone from the ship except a few to keep the slaves in line. I wondered around the ship without DJ, who I couldn't find. I found one of the storage rooms that DJ had showed me. It was one of the do not's that I should never do. But did I ever listen to anything that anyone told me if they weren't there to smack me? I opened the door to find a very dream that put a smile on my face. Weapons. Didn't think Saiyajin need weapons. It was a simple gun though. I took a medium sided one that had the length from my hand to my elbow. Took a shot at the far wall. A laser beam came out and burnt the wall to the other side. "Whoah...I'm gonna like this thing!" And with the gun in my hand I welcomed Renkon back right before he came into the room. He didn't have much of a warning so I was able to sear his leg. I shot another at him, which he dodged like all the many others I shot at him. "What the hell has gotten into you woman!?" he shouted at me from across the room. "I'm very displeased with you Renkon dear! I have a thing against killing but on the other hand I find torturing people endlessly is a bit more punishing!" I shot at him a few more times. It seemed that with in mere seconds that he was behind me. He immediately grabbed the gun and me by the waist. Keeping the gun out of my reach he held me still to his right side. I scowled at him the best I could. I could tell he was pretty upset. Not only did his face show it with his angry snarl but his tail was lashing behind him, sometimes smacking me in the back of my legs. "You are feisty, true. But don't you ever think to do this again!" he practically whispered into my ear, which I think made sound even more dangerous then when he was shouting. Looking at the gun, I saw him use his unnatural strength to break it in pieces. That made me think. If he could do that so easily to that gun, then what could he do to me? I do believe that this was the first time that I felt actual fear towards Renkon...
