Chapter 09
Chapter 9 --- DJ Packing, packing, packing. Why are we packing again? I don't remember. It still too early in the morning. I am tired from last night. I want to go back to sleep. Packing, packing, packingwhat the hell is this thing? I held up one of Renkon's outfits. Well and piece of one. Since when did he where black briefs on a daily basis? I looked in his direction, holding the briefs up. He caught my look and lifted one of his eyebrows in question. "What the hell is this suppose to be? And why do you need it packed?" It took a moment for him to understand what I was asking about. And by the look on his face, eyebrows all raised and his black eyes in curious wonder, that he was pretty surprised to see the briefs in the pile. Well, pile of briefs I guess I should say, looking around behind me at the next pile. "ThatI don't know how it got in there. Don't pack those." "That didn't answer the question of what it is." "You should know the answer. You're not that dumb." "Is that suppose to be a compliment or an insult?" That hit it off to another argument, I still don't remember why we're packing. After everything was loaded on to the ship, which gave me the idea that we were doing space traveling today, Renkon hauled me into his quarters like excess luggage. Yet I didn't get to yell at him about it, he just dropped me in front of the door and then ran off with out saying a word. I just shrugged it off and went to exploring the place. This wasn't the same ship that we came from Earth in. This was a much more roomier then the other. There were actually two more rooms then the other one had. I went into the bed room, don't ask why I did, cause I just did. Did it to do it. And in some strange, weird way the Renkon's excuse for a lot of things. Doing it because he did it. And I'm not getting into what he did. Suddenly a rustling came from underneath the bed that had broken my train of thought. Out of plain curiosity and most likely insanity, I bent down to look what was under the bed. Expecting to only finding my imagination I was surprised to have met a face instead of nothing. But thanks to my tiny yelp of surprise, the faceperson also was quiet surprised to see me too. I quickly stood and raced to the other side of the bed to see who it was. Although the person had yet to come out from underneath the bed, for I could only see his legs. Lizard legs I guess I should say. This wasn't a Saiyajin under here but some other type of alien. I couldn't tell by only seeing the bottom half of the alien what it looked like, but the legs were a light jade green with tiny clawed feet and a spiked tail that was swishing back and forth. It looked more like a dragon's half then a lizards. Listen to me, getting all technical. Although I could tell that the alien was having trouble getting back out from underneath the bed. He was making small grunts of frustration, kinda like Renkon does, and he was also kept trying to readjust himself to where he'd try a different way to get out. I'd say the poor thing was a bit frantic. "Uhneed any help?" I asked, tilting my head to the side in a curious manner. "A bit, please," he said in a small, boyish voice. With out hesitation I grabbed his tail and started to pull, which made him yelp in surprise but he started to come out little by little. I noticed when he fully came out the he wasn't covered in scales like I thought, but instead he was only half dragon-like. His upper half looked more like the upper half of a human boy, only about the age of five to seven. He had sandy blond hair that curled slightly around his head with pale blue eyes that looked at me from underneath his bangs. Green, leather wings hung behind him, looking big enough to be able to cover his entire body. "Hate to be rude but what kinda of creature are you?" I asked him. He didn't answer me right away but just looked up at me curiously with his blue eyes, which I then noticed that his pupils weren't like normal pupils but were more slanted like a reptiles'. On the other hand, I am in an alien worldhow can I depict what is normal or not of people who may think it is? When about a minute passed with no words passed I made my well known sound that I was a bit confused, "Uh?" But that only made him smile at me, it was a cute smile too with a small tooth hanging out on the right side. I had to admit, for a half human looking alien he was pretty cute for a kid. Ok, ok so he was down right adorable but I don't think he'd like me just picking him up and squeezing him like a teddy bear. I don't think Renkon would like it either. "You must be Renkon's woman," he said with a bright smile. "Yeah I guess- wait? What the HELL DID YOU JUST SAY??!" I shouldn't have done that, it scared the poor boy. He jumped back and folded his wings over himself to where he was completely covered and wrapped his tail around his feet, hiding himself. "Wait, wait, wait! I'm sorry don't do that! I didn't mean it! Really! I just, just, just- Oh! Forget it!" I knelt down to where the top of his wings reached the top of my head. I growled silently to myself as I pried his wings open. He had his head ducked and his arms crossed over his head, covering his eyes. "Hey, hey kid. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you. Hey come on!" He lofted his head a bit, enough to look at me with his blue eyes. "That's right, hey I'm sorry I frightened you. What's your name anyways? Huh?" "I'm called DJ," he said softly, not moving from his position. "Well, DJ. I'm Nellie. What are you doing in here?" "I was looking for Renkon-san," he said insolently. "For Renkon? Why?" I asked, looking at him like he was insane or something. He seemed to have gotten comfortable with me that he unwrapped himself from his wings and uncrossed his arms. He then just sat there and stared at me with the same look that I gave him. This wasn't very easy We sat in the main room where the door was. He hadn't made sense as to why he was looking for Renkon, I didn't really care to know since I could always ask Renkon. Plus I'd rather find out more about DJ then Renkon any day. What info that I could get from DJ was that he was from the species the Dragonian, a rare race he said that have been dying out lately. He also said something about an uncle that he stayed with, and something about being an heir but he really didn't go into that. DJ mainly wanted to know more about me then I him. He said that he never met someone like me, at first I was flattered but then he said he meant by meeting a human. I didn't mind though, he was just a kid after all. "It seems that the two of you hit it off quite well," said a rough voice from behind us. I turned to see Renkon leaning against the door in his usual stance, arms crossed with one of his legs crossed over the other and his tail flicking back and forth by his legs. "And how long have you been standing there?" I asked, not really caring if he was there forever. "Not long. Why? Said something that shouldn't have been heard?" "Get over yourself, who'd wanna talk about you?" That did it. He glared at me with a bit of anger for my tongue, but I now can look at his face and almost laugh since I discovered that he tends to puff his cheeks out when he's angry. I noted, though, that even under the 'Renkon glare' (as I had come to call it), DJ wasn't afraid like many other people were. He just stood there smiling as if it was a game. "Well, anyways, I have things to discuss with DJ and that means-" "Yeah, yeah I know. Move!" I said while cutting him off. I went back to the bed room and closed the door. Sighing I made my way to the bed to lay down. Why should I care what he has to say to the kid? Why would he talk to a kid anyways? I guess I'll find out sooner or later. It was, or would have been in if we were still on the planet, night time before Renkon finished talking to DJ and came into the room. I could tell he was tired, probably from talking so much today, heh. I fell asleep an hour after I came in so I was all still wrapped up in the sheets. "Woman, you sleep to much," Renkon said while sitting down. "You're point being? When one has nothing to do the best thing to do is-" he cut me off with a kiss before I could say anything else. Which really annoys me, especially since he can't kiss right. Well at least like humans do, he seems to like biting way too much. But what annoys me even more was that it was his signal that he wasn't in the mood for THAT type of bed talk and would rather have the OTHER type of bed talk, if you get my drift. :\
