Complemento nominal

Complemento nominal is a word, a phrase or a clause that completes the transitive meaning of nouns, adjectives or adverbs by the means of a preposition:

Ela é especial para mim.

especial = predicativo do sujeito

para mim = complemento nominal (adjective complement)

She is special to me.

Ele expõe seus pensamentos, independentemente da reação das pessoas.

expõe = transitive verb

seus pensamentos = direct object

independentemente = adverbial

da reação das pessoas = complemento nominal (adverb complement)

He speaks his mind, regardless of people's reaction.
