O homem com quem ela está conversando é escocês.

 

The man who she is talking to is Scottish.

 

The man that she is talking to is Scottish.

 

The man she is talking to is Scottish.

 

Whenever there's a prepositional verb, the preposition comes before the relative pronoun.

conversar com = talk to

Quem can never be left out.
Quem only refers to people and it must be used after prepositions.
 

O sofá em que estou sentado é do meu irmão.

 

 

The couch which I'm sitting on is my brother's.

The couch that I'm sitting on is my brother's.

The couch I'm sitting on is my brother's.

estar sentado em = to be sitting on/in

A mulher por quem me apaixonei está sentada ali.

apaixonar-se por = to fall in love with
