Exclamations

Indefinite pronouns and some indefinite adverbs are widely used in exclamations:

Portuguese	English equivalent	Example	Translation	Notes on usage
Que + adjective	How + adjective	Que linda !	How beautiful!
Que + abstract noun	How + adjective	Que tristeza!	How sad!	Use adjectives that correspond to the abstract nouns
Que + noun + adjective	What (a, an) + (adjective) + noun	Que homem! Que cara legal! Que tempo terrível!	What a man! What a nice guy! What terrible weather!	The articles are never used in exclamations.
Quanto Quanta Quantos Quantas + noun	What a lot of...!	Quanta cerveja! Quanto trabalho! Quantos carros! Quantas pessoas!	What a lot of beer! What a lot of work! What a lot of cars! What a lot of people!	Don't use articles.
