Life Of Andrew

...because he did have a life before YOU

Andrew Fetterly Wilkes-Krier was born to Wendy Wilkes and James Krier on May 9, 1979 in California. In 1983, the entire family moved to Michigan, where Andrew would spend the remainder of his youth. At the tender age of five, Andrew began taking piano lessons, and continued until he was thirteen (raging hormones and an attractive female teacher led to a "misunderstanding"). It would seem that this was the factor that would cause his musical talent to bloom later on in life. During his teenage years, Andrew was a rebellious boy. But then, most teenagers are. He tried new things, played drums and participated in a number of local bands, before leaving for New York City at the age of seventeen; he finished high school one year early.

Once in New York, Andrew began to work hard to achieve his dream. He had several different jobs, none of which were particularly rewarding (not counting the job that made getting "bonuses" easy), all the while writing, recording, and performing anywhere and everywhere he could. Two years after his big move, he released his first EP "Girls Own Juice", and one year after that a second EP "Party Til You Puke". A sort of cult following developed; the Wolf Kult, to be precise - named after a magazine young Andrew had developed ("Wolf Slicer"). It was time to keep building things, and so Andrew got himself a band, and soon they got a record deal with Island Records.

"I Get Wet", Andrew's first album, earned him great success in the UK and in Europe in late 2001, before being released in his own country in late march of 2002. There was decidedly not as wide a fanatical response, though there came from this a group of people. True, they were spread over a large area, but dedicated to the music and the man and spreading the message. Also, it should be noted that controversy surrounded this album - not for the cover, no, for that was just a distraction from the real uproar. It was the liner notes. All through the world, people wondered, who are these people? The names seemed to not be real (this was later checked out and found that all people mentioned in fact did exist), but one remained - Christina. Well, it has been found out. Only here, will you get to see a picture of the mystery woman that most suspect to be an old girlfriend of Andrew's. Behold - Christina!

That not enough for you? Ah, okay. Why don't you go learn some fun facts about Andrew? There you go. You're welcome.
