Sugar Ray

Sugar Ray joined our family on August 2nd, 2001, when he followed us home on our daily morning walk with Bucky.

After briefly looking at Sugar Ray, we felt that he was probably no longer wanted by his owners: Sugar Ray was very skinny and had hardly any hair. We took him to our vet on the same day that we found him. There, he was diagnosed with hookworms demodetic mange. Otherwise, he was a fairly healthy 5 month old puppy.

Sugar Ray's hair loss was so severe that we didn't recognize him to be a Labrador Retriever (mix) at the time that we found him. It wasn't long into the treatment that Sugar Ray's hair started to grow back, and he started to feel much better.

Sugar Ray has been to obedience training and is now an extremely well adjusted and well behaved puppy.
