Sammy

Sammy joined our family on July 28th, 2000 by sheer coincidence: We intended on adopting a Lhasa Apso or Shitz-Su from the Clay County Humane Society in Brazil, IN. Unfortunately, this pet acted up around cats.

That's when we found Sammy: sleeping on a chair in the office of the animal shelter, right next to a cat!

The staff at the shelter advised us that Sammy, who was approximately 8 years old at the time, had been at the shelter for a long time, since noone wanted to adopt him due to his medical conditions.

Sammy has been a very happy member of our family ever since.
