Pete

One of our friends found Pete on her doorstep one evening. Pete still had his original tags, and our friend was able to trace his owner. Apparently, Pete's original owner had to give him up, and the next owners didn't give him the care and attention that he deserved. So, at the proud age of 6, he ran away in search of a better home (-- we're pretty sure that he found what he was looking for).

Pete had a great deal of personality, and he was very headstrong. We were lucky to have him in our lives for 7 wonderful years. After a long struggle with oral melanoma, he went to a better place on July 21st, 1999.
