We are currently serving in Mexico with EXUS, a Mexican discipleship ministry for college students.
Karen is from Michigan and came to know Christ as savior at a young age. I grew up in Connecticut and came to know the Lord when I was 18.
We met while training for Cross Cultural Church Planting with New Tribes Mission, a phenominal group, passionate about seeing every last tribe reached with the love of Christ.
We were married October 11, 2003, and have loved every day of our life together. Tucker Thomas came along September 11, 2006. I don't think a person has truly lived untill they have had a child of their own. He is continually amazing us, and his half Spanish, half English language of his own is truly something to hear.
We moved to Mexico July 26, 2007. Honestly we've had some hard times adjusting - but through it all we have fallen in love with the people and the land. And while we are not sure how long God has us there, we are glad to be walking with Him in such a wild place.
It's not that we feel especially "called" to the mission field. It's not that we're looking forward to the adventure. As I said before, life is actually quite hard some times. We think that God desires all His children to be about the task of world evangelization in some way. He has made it possible for us to go, so that's what we're doing!
