The Wireless Adaptor, which is bundled with the Fire Red and Leaf Green games, is needed to enter the Union Room.

The Wireless Room, also known as the Union Room, is accessible everywhere in Kanto. If you have a wireless adaptor, anyone else with an adaptor will be able to enter the Wireless Room with you. However, other players must be in range of your adaptor. |

You can then go up to any trainer and start a conversation or challenge them to a Pokemon battle. |

You are also able to go into a Chatroom, which has a small keyboard, so that you may chat with trainers in other buildings. |

Battling is also possible here and to symbolize that it is a wireless battle, a small icon will be at the top right corner of the screen. |
