Rico [[email protected]] Tue May 4 14:28:27 1999 Sorry for the delay in updating, we were in a transition period. We should be up in a few days. Tony Baca [[email protected]] Tue May 4 18:41:36 1999 Just wanted to let people know that I have come up with a way to move data from the HDR (V8) to the PC and keep all tracks in sync. To do it you must have a SPDIF input on the PC and Cool Edit. I was able to transfer 16 tracks to the PC and everything is in sync. At a high level, I "backed-up" a song to "DAT" on the V8. I recorded this on the PC as a stero WAV file. I then cut each track from the WAV file and saved it as raw PCM data. Then when I loaded the raw PCM file into the PC, I told it that it was a mono file. If there is stong interest, I'll write up a more detialed document on how to do this. Also, an average programmer could write a program to "disect" the large backup file into the individual files. Any takers? _____ /ony R.R. [[email protected]] Sun May 9 22:09:48 1999 Hi All.Does anyone know what the cost of a MX-1 new or used goes for? Also where can they be found? Thanx in advance. Rico [[email protected]] Mon May 10 19:31:57 1999 R.R. Email Dean at D&L/Vesatx they may have a few more MX-1s at $300 Rich Collins [[email protected]] Tue May 11 06:00:51 1999 Tony, I am interested in your efforts of moving HDR data to the PC in sync'd tracks. I am trying to do the same thing with 18 tracks from 3 HDR6s. Please post the details you have and I will try to implement a program to assist. Rich Willem [[email protected]] Wed May 12 23:07:29 1999 I'm considering buying an HDR-V8 and I'm wondering if it can sync up with my 1997 Roland VS880 V-Xpanded HDR. Also, can recorded tracks be transferred between them? Thanks! -Wil Kelly [[email protected]] Thu May 13 14:37:53 1999 Hey folks! Has anyone had any experience using the Peavey PC 1600X as a controler for their HDR-6 or HDR-V8? I have one of each and I'm interested in if this would serve well as a controler.... - Kelly Chris Milanko [[email protected]] Fri May 14 10:34:46 1999 Hi, my HDRV8 has just been ORBed. The ORB drive is sitting in the front and I am concerned that it has a bit of a gap at the bottom. What sort of a fit have others managed to achieve. BTW I have only completed the installation, I have not tried to use the drive yet .... probably another post to this forum. :-) SL [[email protected]] Fri May 14 16:27:08 1999 Does anyone know where I can get OS 3.04 chips for the hdr6? Are they still available from Vestax? SL [[email protected]] Sat May 15 15:15:33 1999 I got a good laugh out of the preface page to this forum. No Flaming! Ha!I am wondering how many other people have gone through the nightmare I have trying to get service or answers from Vestax? I've talked to many already.I know you're out there!E-mail me!Also who has schematics for the HDR6? SL [[email protected]] Mon May 17 07:01:18 1999 What is the advantage of having the v 3.04 OS chip For the hdr6 over v 2.02? Ron [[email protected]] Wed May 19 20:10:15 1999 SL - I bought my 3.04 chip from Alvino (VNO) who "owns" this site. E-mail him. - Ron Lex Mens [[email protected]] Sat May 22 18:45:46 1999 Hi, Is it possible to syngronize a HDR6 by midi syng. For example; my computer plays a midifile, I connect the midi out to the midi in of my HDR6. (It didn't work yet) SL [[email protected]] Mon May 24 04:53:09 1999 The Orb is very cool. Surely there must be a way to mount an Orb externally. Has anyone tried this yet? Do they make an external Orb?? Bill Pillmore [[email protected]] Mon May 31 09:24:24 1999 I have the HDR-6 and love it. Question: I still don't understand the use of the Master Level control. It seems to control chanels 5 and 6 not the master level as on a mixer. Ron Ott [[email protected]] Mon May 31 22:43:26 1999 Bill - When you're adjusting the master level, the R and L channels appear to be the same as tracks 5 and 6. However, it's really the two-track master out. Some "track" indicators have dual functions. - Ron |
