just got a hdr-v8 i could use some atvice. I didnt pay much for it as i dont think it will be my main form of recording.does this orb thing really work . if it does i got a hell of a good deal.

Matt, I have an ORB in my HDR-8 and I think this is the coolest invention. I am looking for an HDR-V8 so I can have the front loading option, I'll sync my recorders together an have 16 tracks of digital pleasure. Trust me, get an ORB and keep your V8.

I just found a few Vextax recorders on AMS's (americanmusical.com)website that may interest some of you out there. Prices range from $899 for the V8, to $799 for the HDR-6. I have one of the last HDR-6s to roll off the line, and would take a lot less for it than the prices above. Email if interested.
