| I went to see Signs with a bunch of friends and wasn't expecting much. But from the moment the opening credits came up you new that this was gonna be something special. Haunting back to the old Hitchcock 'the scary's just around the corner' days this flick grips the audience in a full throttle assault on the senses. Make no mistalke, you will laugh, you will jump out of your seat in fright, you will empathise with the characters and you will want to be cuddled by the person sitting next to you. Especailly if you, like me having just gotten past the 'hedge' bit, start watching the strangely illuminated cinema fire exits for unexpected visitors! Undoubtedly the best parts of this movie are the camera work (congrates DOP), the musical score, and oh yeh the baseball bat - you'll see. |
