My e-diary : Haytham in Finland (Feb,Mar,Apr,May) Sat, April the 27th update: ( Kalkona! ) Nine updates in February( I was hot!!), seven at March, and April curtains call is on the doors and I've just wrote 4 updates and even one of them was a ButBut Vs. Kaki members only update! And then I start crying: why no body has left his sign in my guest book!? I'm really sorry guys, and I'll try to make it up today! So, fasten your seat belts and let's go! Something strange is happening here. Have you heard about Ice Age the movie? This is the place where I was staying for the 1st two months of my stay in Finland. During April things were changin slowly in the begining, the ice was melting until it disappeared completely just the last week, and some beautiful spring flowers are starting to grow. The weather temperature is increasing quickly and if the rate keeps like this, I think it will be pretty hot a month from now! Oh, finally I can go to technobothnia without wearing my coat! Yesterday I kept awake until the dawn preyer with some of my Arab friends. The guys have their final term exams next week and have to submit noss darzan reportat on Monday! I really enjoyed watching the "last five minute" work + the "copy-paste", and I've thought that such things are UAEU trade marks! but it appears to be an international habbit!! even some Finnish are supposed to be with them in their group but all what they particpate with is putting their names in the report! "Finnish People - the second return -" (Finnish talks, names and acts) A finnish guy voice is usually very thick ( Jahoory), the guy sitting in the next office ( elli halakni tafsees o tatree3 wala kainno fee sarma mish bani adam ga3id filmaktab elli jambee!!) when he says "Paiva"( greeting) it looks like he is acting fi mosalsal tareekhi! listen to the Finish saying "U"(yeah), I love it! it looks like YOU said by American Niggers! In the other hand you, when talking to a Finnish woman, marra wa7da hatish hag shahga hatir3ibak!! bismillah el ra7man elra7eem! sho fee! sho fee! La wala eeshi saleema! Just a talking habbit! I also like the way they greet each other: "hey hey !" and the most beautiful phrase is when I come to pay the money at the restuarant, "Kiitos" ( thankyou) but she doesn't say it like that, she says it like: "KeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeTOSS" !! Let me mention some Finnish last names for you: Jere Kolehmanen, Juhani Virtanen, Juha Nieminen, yeah I know, this is sounds like Jari Litmanen the Finnish footballer & Mika Hakinen the Finnish F1 Hero. Yeah, the letter J is used alot in their first names but they don't pronounce it like J, it's like Y. Remember the story of that Gazzawi who came to Finland and asked that lady if she is Mrs. Toi"J"a!! Juha is a famous first name here, but the most famous is Mikko! I'm not sure about the rest of foreign students here, but for me, It's impossible to remember the names of the streets and places! Take this for example: Wolffsjav�gen, Kauppapuistikko, Hoviokeudenpuistikko, Hovr�ttsesplanaden, ( we da min eeh da!!) ofcourse these are not names of fatal diseases!! these are famous streets in Vaasa! I hope you don't blame me now if I got lost here! I also wonder how kids pass dictation tests!? Speaking about kids, little kids are really cool! specially when they are wearing those one piece red suit with a rabbit or devil head cover and hardly carrying a huge hockey stick on their shoulders( did I mention that Finish people adore hocky! in the previous episode), super zakyeen! but when they become big, I told you before: Jourasik Park, but I think I'll withdraw this, they are not huge, but at winter, everbody is wearing theses heavy coats and so they seem giants while they are just like us. When it comes to girls, nothing special, Arabs are more beautiful! ( I didn't expect that, but I must admit it, it's the truth! )You will enjoy watching a lot of different hair cuts for boys and girlz. They also like to paint their hairs with different colours. Wed, April the 17th update: ( The buziest week since I came to Finland ) After about 10 weeks away, I really started to loose my sense of time! This really sucks, and it's not just me who feel like this, a lot of guys here who are living from a long time in Vaasa have found this truth long time ago and have just gave up! and left the wheel rolloing! After a couple of days, the school here is finished and a lot of my friends are going home at Helsinky. So, things are expected to be worse! Alone in this ghost town! Oh no! As I was trapped like a rat (and without giving further details!), I've found a way out and sneaked out like a rat! I've returned back home without my coat, with short sleeves, cold weather, rain drops, but... rabbna satar! I've, and finally!, been yesterday to the "Experience Other Cultures Project. This town mam7oneen to be international!! I don't know way, but the abnormal efforts toward this are very clear here. One of these efforts is this project. The name of this project inspires me to put a title for the whole phelosophy of bringing exchange students to Vaasa: " Exchange Other Types Of Beer Project!!!". What have I' done there? I've really made a very good and impressive presentations(but it will not ofcourse affect hard-rock hearts). However it was screwed up coz I was asked to remove some pictures that contains blood and shot kids! Doesn't matter, I've had worse than this before!. We have visited a Fine Art and Furniture manifacturing School, which was beautiful, but a little bit boring!
