Thurston Graveyard

Thurston is a small rural village deep in the heart of Suffolk and for the most part has remained unchanged. My family history stretches back four generations within this locality, most of my family being buried at this particular graveyard.

There have been many accounts of strange happenings and apparitions, in one instance my uncle visited the graveyard with relatives visiting from out of Suffolk paying their respects and he happened to have his video camera on which he recorded the sound of loud footsteps, which everyone who has heard the recording likens it hob-nail boots on flagstones this most definitely not caused by any of the family members as the only footpaths in the graveyard are grass and mud!.  

When my great uncles where young and used to play out in the fields and village they where walking through the lane past the graveyard, there is footpath which crosses this lane into the graveyard, across which my great uncles saw an apparition in half man, half beast form was seen to float across the lane and into the graveyard, after which great uncles fled to the vicarage.
