When will the A+ exams become adaptive?
The A+ exams will be delivered in an adaptive format on August 31, 2001. Effective August 31, 2001 the adaptive format will be the only format available. 

How many questions are on the A+ adaptive exams? 
You will be presented between 20 - 30 questions. Please be aware that a score determination could be made before the maximum number of questions is presented. Once a score determination is made, the exam will shut off.

What are the minimum passing scores for the A+ adaptive exams?
The A+ adaptive exams have changed the scaled format. Instead of your scores being calculated on a 100 to 900 range, the score is calculated on a 0 to 1300 range. The minimum score required to pass the A+ Core Hardware exam is 596 and the minimum score to pass the A+ OS Technologies exam is 600. The relative location of the cut scores in the exam score distribution does remain in the same location. The score scale has changed so that the lowest possible score is 0 and the highest possible score is 1300. Since this is an adaptive exam, it is very unlikely that anyone will get a perfect score or the lowest score .
