Fill My Heart Thou Golden Sun

The making of "Heaven Above Me" led to another offer for making a film:

One day the Danish Methodist Church approached me.

The local chairman of their board had himself been working among homeless people.

He invited me to make a film about a project they were going to start at the Betaniahmemmet nursing home. This is a nursing home situated in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen.

I accepted. In fact I made two films for them. The first was called - "Fill My Heart Thou Golden Sun". The second one was called "I Still Remember".

This was a brief little film following a woman named Ella Degn back to the realm of childhood and youth. Ella lived at Betaniahjemmet. She is now deceased. It is a home for the aged. She was suffering from severe dementia. Ella had great difficulty with dressing up and eating. The film demonstrates the usefulness of establishing contact with past experiences. Doing so demonstrated the significant improvement that was achieved both physical and emotional.
