In order to be well rounded as people, we need to be exposed to many different types of literature. We should also know about the life of the author and the time that the author was alive. Few authors have had an impact on society through their writing, although at times society has affected the author�s writing.
The purpose of this project is to learn about several different authors and get an idea about the types of literature they write. The class will be divided into groups of four and each group will select one author to research. Each group will be responsible for a twenty minutes presentation in which each person is in charge of one aspect of the presentation.
After each group has presented, you will each select your top three authors that you think you would like to read during the year. The four authors that are selected the most will be worked into the curriculum for the year. |
