In Memory of Bennie

Bennie is Harold's love. Although she was reluctant at first,
Harold's persistence (and skullduggery) paid off in the long run
and they were married.

Once, Bennie led a
happy carefree life.



But within days after first meeting Harold,
Bennie took to wearing a disguise.



Harold was not fooled by the hat
and Bennie resorted to ever more
elaborate costumes, but still Harold
was not fooled.



Little did she know, that as a very young
child, Harold's father taught him to recognize
people in Extremely Clever Disguises.



In desperation, she began hiding in
weddings of total strangers. It
was on one of these occasions that she was
inadvertantly married to Harold.

Bennie died of cancer in April of 2004.

Bennie at her most beautiful. The cancer,
the chemo, the steroids, the radiation and
operations have all taken their toll.
She's dying, and still the same radiant smile.
