If there's one thing I can't stand, it's when the government steps in and limits the rights of artists to express themselves. Me and Al Sharpton are planning a trip down to get some things straight. I wouldn't be surprised if Clinton tags along too. Both of them.

Don't miss out! Be the first on your block to play the game sensation that's sweeping the nation!

Another weird thing on the radio today was what they called the "new" Ben Folds Five single. Umm, how new can it be if the band broke up back in November??? Did I miss something?

Today while listening to the local "alternative rock" station, I noticed that they were playing REM's Radio Free Europe as part of their current rotation, off of the Murmur album which came out almost 20 years ago (and kicks ass by the way). I guess the radio station agrees with me that there's nothing on Reveal worth playing, so they're going back to the golden days. The funny thing is, commercial radio stations wouldn't touch REM back when Murmur came out, all their airplay was on college stations. I'd be interested to know if Murmur's outselling Reveal these days......

Happy Sysadmin Day, everybody!!! Be sure to take a break from downloading porn and open a virus today to help celebrate! Who knows, you might end up here!

This is a very cool idea. Got something to say to someone, but can't? Put it in a blog and get it out of you...very therapeutic.

To all my friends out there that I've given advice to, I have a confession to make. I've been forwarding your issues and questions to someone else and just repeating whatever they say.

They should probably check out Morrissey's songs while they're at it. Oh, wait, he makes OTHER people suicidal......never mind.

Who knew being a has-been was such hard work? That pic of her with Clinton in the background is priceless.

"Hi! How are you?" I have a question for all you people who spread viruses like Sircam and ILoveYou all over my networks.........do you normally get e-mails from friends, co-workers, etc that are written in broken English like "I send you this file in order to have your advice"??? And do you really think Bob in Accounting is sending you a love note? You're a guy for Chrissakes! What the hell are you people thinking? Sorry, I'm a little testy after wasting a big chunk of my week cleaning up messes. Hey, you know what, keep it up.....I enjoy the job security. "See you later. Thanks"

Hey for all you late-comers here's a repeat of the reasons hard times will never be a Blog of Note (originally posted back in March):

-I don't hate Dubya, and I'm not blind with rage cause he's President
-I'm not a sensitive teen girl trying to sound tough
-My blog is anime-free (my promise to you)
-I'm heterosexual
-I eat meat
-I have no piercings, tattoos, or intentional scars
-I was out of high school before most bloggers were born
-I don't do drugs, unless you're one of those people who counts gin as a drug
-And what is probably the biggest reason: I am severely handicapped when it comes to creativity and artistic talent (think I have a discrimination case?)

I had planned to put a big, boring expose' on here but have changed my mind. Basically, I spent the last month falling hard for someone I met online, and getting over them, something I had never expected would happen to me. Luckily, we were able to avoid any restraining orders or ugly scenes, and now I have a special relationship with a very dear friend.....things turned out just about perfectly, considering. And I also have a different perspective on the whole online thing. Don't worry, I haven't stopped being a dirty old man, now I'm just a more sensitive dirty old man. And now that I'm no longer a big ball of mush, hard times will return to being the entertainment powerhouse that it once was, generating dozens of laughs each and every year. It's good to be back, people!
