DOG MEET

The Dogs

Posted:

I own three Chihuahuas named Minnie, Mickey, and Daisy; yes, their names do sound like they're from Disney. My family has had these dogs since they were puppies and it's hard to believe they've been in the family for some years now. I still feel like I just got them yesterday. Being chihuahuas, they can be annoying however they're the best annoyances I've ever known!

Minnie was originally my mother's dog but when she moved she wasn't able to take Minnie with her. So my grandparents took Minnie in. Later, my uncle gave Mickey to my grandmother as a gift on either her birthday or Christmas. Minnie and Mickey later had Daisy whom was considered my dog when I named her and took care of the whole Minnie's litter situation. I pay for their licenses and medical care so I'm very dedicated to my dogs.

The picture I've included on this post is from 2016 when I bought my doggies Mr. and Mrs. Santa outfits because honestly they look adorable and funny. They're not exactly photogenic but it was totally worth taking a picture of them together in their costumes. After finally getting them close to pose that is.

Here's a video of all three of them!

I know there are folks who keep boundaries of where their pets can touch or be, but I share my bed with my dogs because I spoil them too much. They're so spoiled, I have no shame.

Minnie's Bio

Minnie is the oldest of the trio at 7 years old and her full name is Minnie-Diamond. She was given the name to follow her costs. Sounds mean but unintentionally my family and I spoiled her like a queen. She has this personality that has you know she's the alpha, but an alpha that demands cuddles and petting. If she spots a person she loves, she'll run on over and demand that person pick her up.

Silly nicknames for her include: Minnie Mouse, Little Girl, and Bãhbæ. Bãhbæ is my extremely playful name for her and an unnecessarily exaggerated pronounciation of "baby". I use it around my kid siblings because they find it hilarious. Oh, Minnie so entitled to cuddles that if you call another other dog, she'll still run to you.

Here's a video of Minnie being playful!

She's never been a playful dog, so being able to play with her is truly special and I'm happy she loves it too!

Mickey

Mickey here is my favorite boy as he is my only boy, he's also a weird chihuahua mix but I absolutely find him too cute despite my family commenting he isn't cute or handsome. but to me he's the cutest boy I know. He's the second eldest of the dogs at 3 years and unfortunately the fattest one too. He has no sense of not eating food so he'll go and find it (he's on a healthy diet and routine right now). One trait I absolutely adore about Mickey is his natural body mohawk. From the start of his head following his spine to his tail, his fur is naturally long and wiry while his sides and underbelly are short and soft. He was born to be punk and I love it.

He is a silly and playful boy who absolutely adores talking when you do! Though his bark is too loud on video, he's learned to say "I love you" and makes happy cries when he talks!

Mickey's the only one purposefully named after Mickey Mouse because we had Minnie. His nicknames include: Baby Boy, Shaggy, Snoopy, and Pūfhers. Pūfhers is an exaggerated and alternate version of "puffy", like Minnie's Bãhbæ, this nickname makes my kid siblings laugh a lot since I make silly voices to say it.

Because of his destiny mohawk, I present Punk Mickey!

The punk life choose him (dog-safe dye).

Daisy is the youngest of all three dogs at 2 years and is the daughter of Mickey and Minnie. She has 3 brothers (whom all are at loving homes), is the second eldest of that litter, and is the only pup to have her special fur type and floppy ears! Her brothers all look like Minnie! With her unqiue appearance for a chihuahua, she holds a special place in my heart. Another fact about her is when she was a pup, her ears were gettings ready to stand tall like a chihuahua's should and they held that form for about three dogs before offically being floppy as they are now!

She absolutely loves bellyrubs and if she sees a person she loves, she'll will walk over and plop over exposing her belly. Most often Daisy chills on her couch spot and watches the birds through the window. She's a chill pup. Her nicknames are: Baby Daisy and Flūffers.

I have no idea why, but Daisy has it out for my rug.

She does it all the time, I wonder if she likes it.
