You’re easy on the eyes
By Kenzie Kennedy
Kagome sighed and leaned back in her chair. She looked out the window at the winking stars and wished she were as happy as they were. Actually, they weren’t happy at all because they were burning balls of gas and who knows what else.
She bent back over her books and listened to her radio. She had grown fond of American music lately. A smile grew over her face. Inu-Yasha had been doing a lot of parodies. Maybe she ought to try one?
Should've known it was you
That sounds good. For a start, anyway.
Knocking on my door
Knocking on my well Even if he doesn’t knock just barges in.
At a half past a heartache, quarter to four
At a half past a headache, quarter to four
Were you starting to worry I was finally getting over you?
I almost forgot you looked so fine
I almost forgot you looked so mad
If you told me some lies it'd be like old times
If I told you to sit it’d be like old times
Just getting to see you is almost worth the things you do
That’s okay. Kagome blushed. It is worth it to hunt with him just to see him. The way his clothes hide his muscles, the way he protects me, the way he goes off with Kikyo and I absolutely hate it... She shook her head and decided to continue with the song.
You're easy on the eyes
Hard on the heart
Those two lines can stay. Kagome sighed. He definitely is.
You look so good but the way things look ain't the way the are
Better say goodbye before we go too far
Cause now I realize you're easy on the eyes
Hard on the heart
Actually, the whole chorus sounds good. Describes him perfectly. Kagome’s eyes started to darken.
I've got to admit you've got a smile
That really reeled me in for a while
But it ain't funny, honey what you put me through
So why don't you send me your photograph?
I would, but he doesn’t know what one is.
It would hurt a lot less than taking you back
It would hurt a lot less than Kikyou and you
Then I could still have my favorite part of you
Kagome snorted. A picture isn’t my favorite part. It’s his bravado, his attitude, his willingness to be hurt just so I don’t die...
You're easy on the eyes
Hard on the heart
You look so good but the way things look ain't the way the are
Better say goodbye before we go too far
Cause now I realize you're easy on the eyes
Hard on the heart
Kagome sighed. But she’d always go back, no matter how much it hurt. Inu-Yasha was hers. He just didn’t realize it yet. He’d always run to Kikyo, but he had made up the songs.
"Oi, wench!"
Kagome’s eyes narrowed. Speak of the hanyou, she thought. "Yes?"
"Are you coming?" he peeked in the window.
Kagome slammed it and he fell. "That’s for making me feel bad!" she yelled down. "Sit!"
Inu-Yasha felt his body pound into the ground. "Now what’d I do?" he muttered.
