Journey into Nothingness

I know not what is nothing

Is it absence of anything?

Absence of physical or mental form?

Absence of decay, static or reform?

There is no past, no future

There is no happiness, no torture

There is no body, hence, no death

Neither is there life or breath

So I don’t need air, hence it is not

There is no spring, autumn, cold or hot

I came from nowhere and have nowhere to go

There is no quickness, nothing is slow

There is no sound yet no quietness

There is no light yet no darkness

What is there? A vast expanse, endless into eternity

Yet there is nowhere to start my journey

I thought there was nothing where I was

But my thought was there and so I was

We were on a journey, yet nobody moved

There was emptiness, yet we pushed & shoved

There was nothing to see yet we saw everything

There was nothing to hear yet we heard everything

We felt everything through there was nothing to feel

We were disoriented yet on an even keel

We were there, suspended amidst nothing

We were the ‘something’ ………….

……………….but still we were nothing…….
