NEWS FLASHES!
March 28 to April 11, 2006
March 28, 2006
Audrey SMITH joined the Hanna Cops4Cancer event and will get her head shaved as well.  This
makes the first husband and wife duo that will get their heads shaved together!!  There are also now
a total of 11 people from Hanna that have joined the cause to get their head shaved!  Amazing!  This
is going to be a day filled with fun!  And speaking of fun, the Hanna Citizens On Patrol group will
team up with the Big Country Victim's Services Unit to offer FREE face painting, balloons & Kidz
Printz (fingerprinting kids for future identification in case of abduction, etc) for children under the age
of 12.  The Citizens On Patrol group will also be operating a BBQ at the site, with all donations going
to the Canadian Cancer Society.
And to help with another cancer fundraising event, Leah BAIRD will set up a small table during the
Hanna Cops4Cancer day.  Leah will be selling pieces of cake in order to raise money for her
participation in the Weekend to End Breast Cancer 2006.

Cst. Ray SCOTT, of the Coquitlam RCMP Detachment in British Columbia, has joined the Hanna
Cops4Cancer campaign; he will also collect pledges and get his head shaved.  Cst. SCOTT will
attend Hanna on May 6 and get his head shaved with the other participants.  This now officially
makes the event interprovincial!
We have also received some fantastic product donations from local businesses for our silent auction!
Jerry's Liquor Store has donated an awesome XL fleece jacket.  Modern Memories has donated
a professional personal DVD (VHS to DVD transfer with menus, chapters, music, label, insert and

vehicle kit.  Check out the link to the Silent Auction Items for pictures of the products.  We will also
accept proxy bids (up to 12:01am, May 6) on any item in the silent auction; these proxy bids are
intended for interested bidders who may not be able to be present at the silent auction on May 6.  If
you would like to enter a proxy bid on any item, contact Cst. PEYTON by email; the address is:
