We have our 18th head shave participant, who is also our eldest! Charlie FIELDING, an 87 yr old |
|
|
|
World War II veteran, has advised that for a mere $200 he will shave his head with the rest of us! |
|
|
|
The catch? Charlie is not actively seeking pledges, nor does he even have a pledge sheet. All pledges |
|
|
|
for Charlie must be made either to Cst. PEYTON at the Hanna RCMP Detachment OR to Charlie |
|
|
|
during the event day at The Legion. The addition of Charlie now also means that the age range of |
|
|
|
our participants is between 87 years old to 5 years old (Cole OLSEN). |
|
|
|
We have also received some fantastic products donations for our silent auction! Accents has donated |
|
|
|
a Collectors "Old-Fashioned Lady's Boot" Lamp. Bru Agencies has donated a Wooden-Handled |
|
|
|
Steak Knife Set With A Case. The Olds Grizzlies Hockey Club has donated a 25th Anniversary |
|
|
|
Olds Grizzles Jersey. And Venture Fabrication has donated a Giftcard for Two Nights in a Double |
|
|
|
Room at The Medicine Hat Lodge (with casino, spa and waterslide park), valued at over $270! |
|
|
|
Shawn Puddester has also donated an original, single print professional 11x14 photograph of Peggy's |
|
|
|
Cove, Nova Scotia; this is an only version of this photo... so you can own the one & only! |

Exlco stepped up to the plate yet again and donated another item to the silent auction! In addition to |
|
|
|
the two leather bags, Exlco had also provide a large sized Leather Bomber Jacket, valued at over |
|
|
|
$300! |
|
|
|
Tina MOHL, of Main Street Barber, has volunteered her hairstyling services for the early bird head |
|
|
|
shave at the Alberta Treasury Branch. Don't forget that Jeff RAAB & Kevin BURGEMEISTER will |
|
|
|
be having their heads shaved at 2:00pm on Friday, May 5 at the ATB. Thanks, Tina! |

Our youngest participant has joined to get his head shaved with his dad! Three-year-old Alex GAY, |
|
|
|
son of Cst. Pat GAY, is going bald with his father on May 6! This now makes our age-range of |
|
|
|
participants from 3 years old to 87 years old! |
|
|
|
We have also decided to split up some of our silent auction items and hold a ticket raffle on eight |
|
|
|
items! You can buy tickets at The Legion during the event, and you can place your tickets in the |
|
|
|
draw box of the item(s) you hope to win! Tickets will be $1 each, 7 tickets for $5, or 15 tickets for |
|
|
|
$10. The draw for the raffle items will be held at 5pm at The Legion. If you would like to take a |

look at the raffle items, click here. We have also lowered the opening bids on most of our silent |
|
|
|
auction items, so take another look at them! |
|
|
|
We have also received some more product donations for our raffle & silent auction. Travel World |
|
|
|
donated a beautiful framed "Mother Angel" print. Checker'd Flag Sports donated a white, medium |
|
|
|
motorcycle helmet. And The Brick donated a comfy robe & slippers set, valued at over $100. |
|
