HAMBLEDEN BRIDGE CLUB
Hambleden Bridge Club meets in the village hall in the centre of Hambleden village (opposite the church) on Friday afternoons. The hall is a non-smoking area with limited disabled access and facilities. Please arrive by 1.20.p.m. as play begins at 1.30.pm. and ends at ~ 4.30p.m.

The normal format is match-pointed pairs with a break for tea and biscuits. Our boards are computer dealt by the club's Duplimate machine.

The club is novice friendly and welcomes visitors. Visitors are limited to three visits within a year before they must apply for membership. The club has >100 members and at 110 a waiting list will come into force. Casual visitors are welcome subject to available space. We operate a host system via the panel of tournament directors.

Annual dues are 10 and table money is 1.50 for members, 2.00 for those on the waiting list and 3.50 for visitors.

The club is affiliated to the EBU, Berks & Bucks CBA and the Chiltern Bridge League. Masterpoints are issued at most sessions. The club restricts conventions to EBU level 2 in line with the county Friendly Events but extended to allow any use of a double of an opening 1NT.

The village car park is free of charge and members are encouraged to use this facility rather than parking in the village centre. This is important in maintaining good relations with the villagers.

The club pays the boarding and tuition fees for a young Masai girl in Tanzania. Other charitable donations are made on an
ad hoc basis.
Yahoo are discontinuing their Free Geocities websites so we are switching to Bridgewebs as our host. Click on this link and save the new site to your favourites/bookmarks.
