A Focus on Children
Much of HAMA’s current programs and research is in child welfare, education and rehabilitation.
HAMA works in partnership with Child-Parent Guidance Centers, which represent a relatively new concept of family rehabilitation in Israel. Children and their parents are referred to these Centers through the Department of Social Welfare and sometimes through court imposed compulsory treatment. Much of our therapeutic settings are group oriented, each group consisting of eight to ten pairs of parent(s) and their child or children as the case may be.
