The Show:
I have to say that this year's show was undoubtedly the best year we have offered the audience as far as talent and content. All nine bands performed exceptionally well and I think (inform me if I'm wrong) all the bands had a good time. I was really pleased to see that most (all?) of the bands did dress up in costume, in some form, as well as a few spectators, but I would really like to see people go nuts with the idea -there's always next year.
This year was the first year that we really started to get into representing the Halloween aspects of the festival, and we had the stage area looking pretty ghoulish, complete with tombstones, cobwebs, and cemetery fog. It really helped the atmosphere.
We had a lot of great stuff to raffle off this year, too, thanks to all of the bands' donations of merchandise.
Also, we did really well with the Hallowpalooza T-Shirts, we sold all of them. That's a really cool thing to have happened.
We sold out of Hallowpalooza 2K Compilation CDs, as well... all 5 of them! Okay, I know. This is my fault, personally. The main reason was that with everything that was happening, I just completely ran out of time to get everything done. Since making copies of the disc was the last on my list, it was the one thing that did not get fully completed in time for the show. That resulted in only having a few CDs available for sale, but I have the master CD, so if anyone wants to buy a copy, please e-mail me and I'll write back with some ordering info. They were selling for $3 each.
