Directions to Hallowpalooza 2000

This year's event will be held at Sportsman's Park: RD #1, Punxsy, PA 15767.

Directions From Brookville:

From Main Street in Brookville, turn onto US-322 West. Then, turn left onto PA 36. Follow this route for about 30 miles to reach Punxsy.

Once in Punxsy, continue following PA-36 (which becomes Mahoning Street) through the entire downtown area (3 stop lights) until you get to the final (fourth) stop light at the intersection with Hampton Avenue. Here you want to continue straight on PA-36 in the direction of Cloe.

Cross the small bridge and continue past the Post Office on your right. Take the second right turn after the Post Office (the first is Oakland Avenue) onto Woodland Avenue (you should see a sign for Gobblers Knob beside this street).

Follow this street up the hill, continue to the top and go around the U-shaped curve to the right. A short distance after the curve, Sportsman's Park will be located on your left. The building is at the back of the park, but you should be able to see the green fencing and gate, next to a baseball diamond.

Hint: There are "groundhog paw prints" leading the way through town and up to Gobbler's Knob, since that is where Phil looks for his shadow each spring.

Directions From Dubois:

From Main Street in Dubois, turn right onto US-119 and drive south. You will reach the town of Punxsy after about 16 miles.

After you pass Sheetz on your right, continue until you reach the 4-way intersection. Veer left here (onto Hampton Avenue) and pass the Groundhog Plaza (on your right). You will reach the stop light at the intersection of Hampton Avenue and Mahoning Street/PA-36. At this stop light, you want to turn left onto PA-36/Mahoning Street.

Cross the small bridge there and continue past the Post Office on your right. Take the second right turn after the Post Office (the first is Oakland Avenue) onto Woodland Avenue (you should see a sign for Gobblers Knob beside this street).
