A MIRACLE AT THE HALL

One evening, Hall manager John Becerra received a phone call. There was a function at the hall, and the lights had gone out. John called Hoyle Beasley, electrician, to see if he could get the power back on. The next day, Hoyle came over and climbed up into the eighty plus year old attic.
Calling down from the dry wooden attic, Hoyle said, "John, come up here, you've got to see this."
As he scrambled up the ladder, John was amazed at what he saw. There had been a fire... a fire that was started by a short. But it had stopped! The fire had burned about three feet up on the dry old beam. But that was as far as it went. The fire went out!
Hoyle said, "I can't believe it. For as old and dry as this building is, it should have burned up."
Many believe that God has been looking out for this building and that He spared it that night or whenever it happened. Maybe it was for the veterans who have put their lives on the line for our country and for all that they are now doing to help others. Maybe it was for the Thanksgiving Dinners that are put on for the needy and the lonely in the commmunity. Maybe it was for allowing schools, youth groups, and community service groups to meet and to have functions. Maybe it was for the church groups to hold services and to have meetings in the hall. Maybe it was for helping people raise funds for people with life-threatening diseases. But for whatever the reason or reasons, the fire went out!
