Facilities
Restrooms
We believe that children should feel important and special. We feel that it is important that children can enjoy their visit with no barriers. To this end all restrooms have at least one toddler toilet and toddler sink, as well as changing tables.
Quiet Room
Since the Children's Museum is a family event, quiet rooms are available to give nursing mothers privacy to care for new family members. Quiet rooms also serve a unique role in calming over zealous visitors.
Open Floor Plan and Accessibility
The Children's Museum has an open floor plan, accessible in all areas by stroller or wheelchair. Easy access ramps promote independence and foster a sense of self-accomplishment for children with disabilities. See-through elevators maintain a feeling of accessibility to all exhibits.

Coatroom & Lockers
Continuing the idea of independence and a barrier free visit, a coatroom is available for toddlers and pre-schoolers to hang up their coats on kid-height pegs. Lockers are also available, also at kid-height, and provide a more secure place to store jackets.
Regular Programming
Exhibits Special Interest Segments
Each hour, starting at 10AM, there will be a special interest segment in one of the activity rooms. This may be a bubble exhibition, a story time, a dance class or a musical exploration, among many others. Each segment is designed to teach children about the world around them, in a fun and amusing way. It also provides a quiet time amongst the hustle and bustle of playing at the Museum.
Children and their families are encouraged to explore and discover together at each of the self-directed exhibits. Each exhibit is 100% hands on and child-sized. Children can express themselves through role-playing. All exhibits promote open-ended play and are designed to stimulate the imagination, as well as foster a love of learning in the youngest child.
Travelling Exhibits
From time to time a Travelling Exhibit will be housed at the Children's Museum. This exhibit provides a change of scenery for regular museum visitors, providing new areas of exploration and discovery for your child. A network of Children's Museums supports the travelling exhibit.
