From Our Seneschal

Greetings to the glorious populace of the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus does Lady Kiara Wrynn send.

February brought us a wonderful time at War and I hope all who attended had their expectations of war rewarded.

March is upon us, and along with the wind, many events in the Kingdom are
planned. I encourage all who can to travel to other lands to show the rest
of the known world what a great populace we have.

Demo Thanks

We of the March of Wealhhnutu wish to express our many thanks to the good and gracious lords and ladies who came and helped the march with a demo for the challenge program in the Nogales Public Schools.  (back at the beginning of January.)
          A grand total of 94 enthusiastic, gifted and wide eyed students from the 4th and 5th grades around the area came and participated in stained glass painting, gaming, dancing, heraldry, the making of chain mail, fighting and so much more !   There was weaving on display, fencing gear to touch, courtly music and knights to bash!
        There are thank you notes from the students that will make their way to Sunday fighter practice. Soon I hope :)  A grand and educational time was had by all.    There was also an open house at the school on the Tuesday following the Demo. The children got to display some of the crafts that they made while they were at the demo.  "I understand that the parents were impressed by the results of the A&S activities that we had taught and were on display."  {from the report of Mistress Anne Dudley de Brandhard}
                In service of the Mistresses
                Elaine (of Wealhhnutu)

There were eight people at the successful demo during the Celebration of Learning Day at the Douglas Campus of Cochise College on Thursday, February 24, 2000:
Baroness Selina, Lady Gwen, Lord Lann, Lady Maeve, Lord Sean, Lord Shamus, Lady Sibeal, and m'lady Katrina

Thanks!
