Barmaids

    BATTLE IN THE BAR! REVEL IN THE ROADHOUSE! Escape from the summer heat among the trees in the mountains of Mons Tonitrus!   The Barony March of Mons Tonitrus is holding its annual Barmaids event and everyone is invited to join in the fun!
    There will be plenty of activities for everyone. Prizes will be awards in both Hardsuit and Rapier tavern scenarios, as well as Archery, Small's Quest, Very Small's Quest, Hand Kissing (Lords only), Neck Nibbling (Lords & Ladies), Weird Weapons (Rapier & Hardsuit), Most Ducats (Smalls & Adults), and of course the Best Barmaid.
    In addition, the Polling for the new Baron & Baroness will be held on Saturday afternoon from Noon to 2 P.M.. The Southern Crusades Autocrats will hold a meeting during the event, as will the Estrella War Autocrats. A schedule of events and other info will be posted on the Baronial website at

    Merchants are cordially invited to come and display their wares at no additional cost other than the site and feast fees. Entertainers are welcome throughout the day in the "Tavern" area. A feast of beast and fowl will be held Saturday evening; please contact the Feastocrat for a menu, or if you have special dietary requirements.
    The
site will open at 4:00 P.M. Friday, July 14  and close at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, July 16. Site is wet and Arizona state laws regarding the consumption of alcohol apply. There are no showers and no potable water; please bring your own drinking water for the weekend. At present, fires are restricted to established fire pits or above ground containers. This could change depending on rainfall. All campsites are primitive; there are no hook-ups of any kind available. For those who do not wish to camp, crash space or a list of hotels in the area can be obtained by contacting the Autocrat. Attendees with special needs are requested to contact the Autocrat. We will do the best we can to accommodate you.
Site Fee:  $10 for non-members, $8 for members, covers all three days. Feast Fee:  $6. Feast reservations by phone or email to the Feastocrat before July 8. Directions:  From I-10, turn south on Hwy 90 to Sierra Vista. Turn right at the Main Gate of Ft. Huachuca and enter the Fort (Squier Ave). Just before Squire Ave. turns right onto Winrow Ave., take the side road that bends left onto Winrow. Go straight at the stop sign. This road will lead directly to Garden Canyon. Lower Garden Canyon is the first picnic site on the left. Please drive carefully as there are numerous dips in the Garden Canyon Road which may have water in them. Signs will be posted.
