Greetings unto the populace of the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus this steamy July. This month is a very busy one for us. The 14th-16th is our own Barmaids, featuring the Baronial Polling. The 15th of July is called the Ides of July. Also know as St. Swithin's Day, if it rains on the 15th of July, it is supposed to rain for the next 40 days! From the 28th to the 30th is Highlands War in beautiful Ered Sul. I will be attending the calendar meeting at Highlands to secure our dates for next year's event. Speaking of which, we are still seeking autocrats for some of the events; if you're interested please contact me.

Unto all Fighters of Mons Tonitrus, and Unto all Consorts and Spectators,
Greetings!
    In two weeks the Barony will be holding its annual Barmaids event. This
event has a reputation (well-deserved) for being a lot of fun for everyone -
especially the fighters! There will be tourneys for hardsuit, rapier, and
archery. Fighters, please remember to bring your fighter cards (if you have
one) and membership cards. If you do not have a blue membership card you
will be required to sign a waiver before you can enter the list.

From our Arts & Sciences Champion

Unto the Populace of Mons Tonitrus, Greetings!
   My thanks to all of you who entered, demonstrated, and judged the Baronial A & S Competition. The turnout was amazing, and all of the entries were magnificent! I know that for some of you, this was your first time to even see an A & S competition. Now that you know what it's like, I am hoping to see many of you enter next year.
    My lord and I will be going to the Shire of Windale the first weekend in
August for the Kingdom A & S Competition and would be happy to take along any entries that you would care to send. The Kingdom A & S categories differ slightly from those we use in the Barony, so if you send something up with us, please make sure we know what category to enter it in.
