CO's notes
As we sneaked closer I could see, SPUNKMEYER in the dip near the TAG ZONE, 15m away. Mantis could see him too. Wraith came over the radio, "I have him in my sights!"
"Zoom to 9 magnification: he looks really worried!" added Spectre. Indeed, he knew that whichever way he exited the TAG ZONE, he would be under fire. He turned and lay down.

"Are you rejoining the game?" I enquired out loud.
"Is it worth it?" he retorted.
"Guess you would be best going to your DEFENSIVE TAG ZONE to rejoin." I commented. He agreed and moved off still TAGGED.

Mantis and I returned to camp and soon teh 69th arrived back aswell. We had a small debrief and realised that something was wrong with our MAPS.

I had played many HARDCORE games in the past, where a team pushes for the last hour or 2. This is what I expected from our adversaries, as it had been a slow day until then. I moved around the reinforced sentry positions and made sure everyone was OK. TMA resumed their OP position, acting as early warning. I was called forward to speak in person with them. Moving off past the booby trap @ the front door, I was near the OP, when I heard Wraith on the radio,"
Movement in the far treeline." Looking to my left, I indeedcould make out a figure moving up the next treeline from my position 80m away. Seeing my oppertunity, I skirted round the deadground and moved silently to where the figure had just passed. Checking he was not a pointman, I could see no-one following his route, so pressed on. The guy had a ghillie suit on and I suspected him to be a sniper. Moving at a faster pace than my quarry, I closed in and was soon inside AEG range. We were following a line of large trees and I set up, knowing he would walk into my sights when he circumnavigated the large Oak.

Waiting a second, he stalked into my sights and I began to squeeze the trigger. Just then I noticed the barrel of his gun, protruding from his outline. It was a silencer, on a MAS! Letting go of the trigger, I identified the target as Spectre (a TMA teammate). Whistling, at him to attract his attention, he span around and nearly opened fire, before signalling that he had been spooked by me. Indeed, I had managed to get within 30m without him noticing. He had been very lucky not to get shot. Giving me the thumbs up, we all pulled back, without a further incident and I returned to camp alone.

The MARSHALS issued the 3rd and final TASK of the Day "
OBSERVATION": to keep a specified GRID under watch and report in what exactly happens at that location. I radioed the location to WRAITH and he replied as I expected "I'm already there!" Indeed, the OP they had already set up overlooked the location and they would have no problem completing the TASK.

TMA have him in their sights!
Satan and Sab.
In an effort for something to do, other than Sentry, I suggested a patrol up the PLATEAU to Nilz and Sab. Soap and Stinger said they were happy enough to stay dug in with Capt and Satan. So Mantis and 2 of the 69th set off up the steepest hill. If their was an attack (which I still expected) then we would be in an ideal position to drop in ontop of our opponents. Reaching the summit, we were feeling the 1 in 1 gradient aswell as the 25C heat. No-one was home, although there were 2 sets of kit stowed under a tarp (which I had stolen the TAGS off earlier that morning).

Maintaining radio silence, we moved off to the western fenceline and moved back down the steep path. Approaching the Back door, I shouted "FRIENDLY" as the sentry reacted to seeing me. We entered camp and were safe once more.

Team 2 were sat on defence and patrolling the high ground, not realising that we were playing a waiting game.
Wraith reported that he had completed the OBSERVATION TASK and scored the full 3 points. Sitting back, the final half hour of the game rolled by.

GAME OVER.
