BUTCH on patrol
HARDCORE 24 Hour Game
Wraith on the move
MANTIS sits in wait....
Scene of the attack!
Indeed the KOBRA's had moved along towards the gorse from downhill. But they had not entered the camp, instead they had set up an OP. Staying low, they looked for any sign of the ALPHA team, but nothing moved. Feeling it was too quiet, the Kobras backed off the same way they had approached, along the river.

ALPHA arrived at the ridge overlooking camp and set up ready for a firefight, while Wraith cleared the gorse. Finding no-one, he called the rest of the team into camp and they set up a defence. Managing to eat some food and take on some liquids they rested for the final battle.

Meanwhile, on the Plateau, CHARLIE finished their meals and decided to send out a team. Radioing in for a TASK, they were offered a PATROL (same one as ALPHA completed earlier.) Striker moved off, with Stinger (using his M4). Reaching the first Control, without contact, they set off downhill.

ALPHA were now ready and asked for another TASK. Accepting the only option: AMBUSH, they crept off towards the Grid Reference. Spectre was on point.
The Kobras returned to camp and then set off again towards ALPHA camp. Moving down through the central woodland, the stayed alert.

Wraith saw movement and hit the ground. Trying to signal Spectre to take cover, he was spotted by Creaser, who opened up from 60m range. Spectre and Lonepig pushed up, while Faceman took over Wraith's position. Napoleon covered the rear.

Wraith got up and ran forward, now he was supported, only to see the Kobra's withdraw towards the plateau.
Deciding that the ambush TASK was compromised, ALPHA agreed to attempt an attack on the plateau. Moving off with Spectre on point and Mantis on the high flank, they crossed the centre of the land.

Striker and Stinger could see them from longrange and radioed in. Creaser and Butch had set up an ambush on the lower slopes of the Plateau, but ALPHA moved past unseen not far away.

Reaching the far fenceline, ALPHA began to crawl up the steep and slippery path. As they apprached to within 100m, of the plateau, they could see silhouettes moving on the skyline. Now and again, someone would come into view and scan the fenceline with their scope. Only to see no-one, as ALPHA froze.

Getting level with the Plateau, Spectre advanced along the path, while Wraith moved into dead ground. MANTIS and Lonepig neared the top, but FACEMAN and Napoleon had decided to saty at the bottom to cover the rear, not wanting to compromise the attack.
Dodger moved away from camp carrying a poncho that he intended to erect. Chopper was just behind him with his M1. Moving up towards the fern field, Wraith spotted them and moved up quickly. Once within range, he opened up, Tagging Chopper and then Dodger straight away.

Everyone on the plateau, heard the nearby firing and ran to their positions. Lonepig and MANTIS headed uphill to the crest, hoping to cover the TAGZONE. Reaching the bunker, Lonepig was Tagged by PAXO, who had come down the fenceline. Only to be ambushed by MANTIS in reply. Chopper and Dodger had rejoined the game, exchanging rounds with MANTIS.

CHARLIE had numerous players on the plateau, all firing at extreme range towards Spectre and Wraith. Dodger tried to flank, only to be tagged again by MANTIS's PDW. Chopper only with his APS, lay down some long range suppression, not able to get a clean shot on MANTIS.
