| Meanwhile KOBRA KAI decided to leave the plateau and head off for a patrol to see what damage they could do. They set off down hill leaving AXEMAN on sentry. ALPHA found the last control pretty much in the open near the Safe Zone. Reporting in the codeword, they score 4 points, ending the TASK. Immediatly asking for another, they could only choose FIREFIGHT, so they accepted it. Both Teams were radioed the co-ordinates for a YELLOW BOX. They were told, whoever was closest to the box after 50 minutes, would score 5 points! Moving off, ALPHA found the box in the trenches straight away. Wraith used radio comm's to spread out the team in a perimeter, covering all arcs. Lonepig pushed downhill to get into a flanking position, should the main attack come from the base of the plateau. The Kobra team were patrolling along the ridge near Bear's bunker, when Creaser spotted Lonepig moving near the Safe Zone. Signalling the team to spread out, they moved in from different angles. Lonepig had spotted them and gone to ground on the edge of a pool. Creaser and Butch stalked through and met each other, wondering where Lonepig was. Knowing he would soon be seen, he opened up from 15m away. however, his optics had steamed up and his fire was inaccurate. Dropping to the floor, Creaser pulled the trigger, only to realise he had not put his battery in his SG1. Butch wondered why his brother had not opened fire so let rip himself, tagging Lonepig. Wraith watched from near the trenches, spotting the pair of KOBRA's moving east 200m away. Calling their position in on the radio, no one else had seen movement so far. MANTIS had snuck onto the hill, observing SNIPER ALLEY, while Spectre hid in a Holly bush watching the fern field and top fenceline. Napoleon sat in the trench nearest the Box, while FACEMAN set up on the ridge looking towards the PILLBOX and JUNGLE. Team Suicide, supported by STRIKER and DODGER had dropped down into the main woodland and had advanced as far as the pillbox, when FACEMAN let rip with the legendary BUSHPIG. Seeing CHARLIE scatter, Faceman gave them a series of long range full auto blasts. Ammo was not an issue with this PIG GUNNER. Striker moved through the Jungle area and across the dead ground to flank FACEMAN. Dodger pushed up behind him. MANTIS sat and watched them close in, unaware of his presence. When Striker got to a firing position, MANTIS opened up with his PDW, Tagging him straight away. Dodger had not seen his ambusher and was hit by MANTIS's second burst. Rejoining the game, Striker radioed in that he did not feel the TASK was worth enough points, to justify a second attack. So the CHARLIE Firefight team withdrew back to the plateau. Faceman moved off (without a radio), he was unsure of the situation. heading uphill, he bumped into SPECTRE moving back from his OP. |

| Mistaking him for CHARLIE, FACEMAN brought up his LMG. Spectre cried "NOOOOOO!" only to get peppered by a volley of pellets. Spectre moved off to rejoin the game, near base. Wraith told his team mates to stay alert for a "Last minute Rush." But all was quiet and the 50 minutes were up. 5 Points to ALPHA. Calling his team to regroup, they set off towards camp, in patrol formation. Wraith expected the KOBRA's could be laying in wait, so took no chances. |
