Both teams withdrew to their camps. Some of ALPHA returned to the SAFE ZONE. Although it was still light, the sun was beginning to set and NIGHT GAME RULES came into effect.

PAPABEAR reloaded with 0.20g specifically for the night game. The MARSHALS contacted both teams and requested a rendezvous with any players wishing to participate in the night game.

G-MAN and PHANTOM knew they needed down time, to eat and rest. They opted to guard camp, only sending out PAPABEAR and PAXO to play.
one of the stonebunkers
Arriving at their rendezvous points, both teams were briefed. CHARLIE with only 2 players would try to defend the stone bunkers. They had a MARSHAL/Hostage with them. ALPHA (5 players) would have to move in and try to get the MARSHAL out. 2 players had to be touching the MARSHAL, to move him. Anyone shot out had to move to another MARSHAL, 100m away, before rejoining the fray.

PAPABEAR and PAXO moved into position, on the hilltop, peaking over the crest, they saw ALPHA split into 2 groups and flank left and right. PAXO called PAPABEAR over, focussing on the left group. Spotting his target, PAPABEAR opened fire with rapid semi auto. "HIT" PAPABEAR carried on firing; "HIT!" came a second shout.

Moving over to engage the other flanking team, CHARLIE got stuck into a firefight. CHOPPER, Dodger and a UE player (?) had moved into the trench leading to the bunkers. Crawling closer, the Hostage was only 5m away. NUT rejoined the game and swung onto the left flank. Moving up the trench, he saw one shape and then another. Opening up with the FAMAS, he scored one then two hits! Only to find he had tagged his team mate and CHOPPER! (friendly fire!)
PAXO ready for the nightshoot
A firefight was in effect and several players were HIT from both teams. The Hostage had moved into the central bunker. Pushing up, ALPHA managed to TAG PAXO and PAPABEAR at the same time.

Running off, they quickly rejoined the game and ran back, anticipating the worst. Indeed a UE player had reached the HOSTAGE. However, he could not move him, unless a team mate came over. Moving in, CHARLIE tagged the UE player out and sat in wait. Listening to the rustling undergrowth.
CHOPPER and 2 of the UE, had flanked round wide and came up the steep slope. Creeping closer, they were engaged by PAXO, who was shooting at sounds. "HIT!" came his shout after the UE opened fire.

PAPABEAR sat in the centarl bunker. A dark shape leaned over the wall 2m away. Firing a single shot, the UE player was "HIT!"

Fire was coming in from all angles now and the HOSTAGE was hit repeatedly. PAPABEAR radioed the MARSHAL and asked how many points the TASK was worth?

"None" came the reply.

PAPABEAR declared himself tagged and walked out of the game.

ALPHA had lost 8 TAGS during the night game to CHARLIE's 6.

CEASE FIRE (midnight).
Returning to their camps, the players could finally switch off. ALPHA rested and some cooked. PAXO left (to go home) and SPECTRE arrived to replace him. CHARLIE had 4 TMA players, now.

CHARLIE discussed the gameplan; Figuring that TMF would mount a dawn raid, they opted to move camp. Leaving the flag behind, they saddled up and moved out in the dark. Reaching sacrey corner, they stashed their kit and got their bivie bags out. PAPABEAR ate a meal, while PHANTOM and SPECTRE cammed up the arbour with foliage. It was now 2am. They hoped to get up around 8am.
