| Als afsluiter van Narayan z'n fieldtrip in Los Conchucos gingen we naar het meer Purhuay, aan de oostzijde van de Cordillera Blanca dus, waar het Nationaal Park sinds een paar jaar actief aanwezig is. Samen met de parkwachter mochten we de "restricted area" in, waar normaal alleen wetenschappers mogen komen, en onder bepaalde omstandigheden de lokale bevolking die dit land gebruiken. |
| At the end of Narayan's fieldtrip to Los Conchucos we went to the Lake Purhuay, at the east side of Huascar�n National Park. Together with the park guide we went into the "restricted area" where normally access is only given to scientists with a special permission, and local population with special needs as well. Of course, it was beautiful! Ao final da viagem aos Conchucos fomos � laguna Purhuay, no lado oriental do Parque nacional Huascar�n. Juntos com o guardaparque entr�mos � area restricta, normalmente s� acces�vel para scient�ficos e pobla��o local com permiso especial. Al final del viaje al campo en Los Conchucos, nos fuimos con Narayan a la Laguna Purhuay, en la parte oriental del PNH. Juntos con el guardaparque, hemos entrado a una zona stricta al otro lado de la Laguna, adonde normalmente solamente entren scient�ficos y gente local, con un permiso especial. Entienden que fue muy bonito! |

| Met een tot roeiboot omgedoopt zeiljacht gingen we het hele meer over (meer dan twee kilometer). Maar het had zwaard noch roer, dus dat schoot niet op. Een plank en een nuchtere Hollandse blik brachten uitkomst, iedereen was ervan onder de indruk! Two men were rowing the boat, but it was going in all the directions except for the right one. A Dutch mind and a piece of wood were the solution; and everyone was impressed! Duas pessoas estavam a remar, mas o barco �a em todos lados menos o bom. A solu��o era um holand�s com uma pe�a de madeira, e toda a gente estava impressionada! Dos personas estaban remando, pero �la lancha se iba en todos lados menos el bueno! La soluci�n estaba en una mente holandesa y una plancha de madera. �Funcion� perfecto! |

| Het riviertje dat uitmondde op het meer had wel wat van de Geul in Zuid-Limburg... The clearest water full of fish! Um �gua muito claro e transparente, cheio de peixe! �El �gua estaba clar�sima y lleno de pescado! |

| En dus loopt er uiteraard ook geen pad. Gelukkig liggen er boomstammen over de riviertjes. So of course there's no path either. Fortunately, there are tree trunks to cross the streams. E claro que n�o h� caminhos... mas h� �rvores para passar os r�os! E claro que no hay caminos tampoco... Felizmente hay �rboles para cruzar los r�os. |
