TREKKING IN LORE LINDU PARK

Covering an area of 250.000 hectares, this large and remote national park has been barely touched by tourism. This National Park Lore Lindu area scoop Kulawi valley are the potency of Nature Tour object and culture where is stored the old inheritance things like megalithic stones which like human statue, It's a wonderful area for trekking - the park is rich in exotic plant and animal life, including butterflies larger and the human hand. Other attractions include ancient megalithic relics, mostly in the Bada, Besoa and Napu valleys; remote peaks; some over 2500m; bird watching around Kamarora; and the 3100 hectare lake, Danau Lindu.In the center of the lake

there is a small island, Bola Island, and there is a mummy corpse of Maradindo King who is laid in a coffin with the diameter of 1,5 m carved forming a buffalo. In the forest around this lake, we can see many kinds of birds.

To reach this area :

From Palu to Napu/ Wuasa about 105 Km, reached by car in 3 hours then trekking or on horseback to Besoa and Bada Valley.
From palu to Gimpu about 95 Km by Bus/Jeep is about 3 Hours then on foot on horseback to Bada Valley.

In our trip, we have to stay in Villaagers houses we pass through or camp in the forest. An interesting attraction.

From Tentena by car/jeep to Gimpu 64 Km, or by Missionary Aviation Fellowship for 15 minutes and the rouste Palu-Wuasa-Doda-Bada-Tentena
