| Requirements |
| - Auditionees must be students in the 7th-12th grade at Liberty high school in good standing.
- Auditionees must have at least a C- in all other classes. The same GPA rules for sports teams apply to marching band. - Members must attend band camp from July 27, 2009 through August 5, 2009. - Prospective members must create an account on the Liberty Marching Band Message Board to ensure contact through the audition process and the summer. - Auditionees must fill out an audition application (available in the LHS band room soon). By signing the application you and your parent/guardian are confirming that you have read and understand all of the audition information on this page. (Application is invalid without a parent/guardian signature.) |
| Dance Audition |
| Flag Audition |
| All dance skills required for membership in the Liberty High School Guard will be taught at the audition. Dance skills can also be learned through classes at any dance studio, such as Attitude Dance and Arts Studio on the square in West Plains. |
| All flag skills and techniques will be taught at the audition.
Auditionees must be able to perform: - drop spins - angles - carousels - cracker jacks - thumbflips - double butterflies |
| All auditionees will learn:
- arm and feet positions - plie - releve - jazz walk and jazz run - chasse |
| There will also be a short dance and flag routine taught during the audition that auditionees will have to perform to demonstrate coordination and performance skills. |

| Weapons Audition |
| Auditions for rifle and sabre generally take place during guard camp, after all guard members have been selected. Skills that must be displayed by members of the weapon lines include: - spins - tracks - flourishes (on sabre) - waves (on rifle) - tosses |
