Exhaust System Upgrade |

A 2 1/2 inch Turbo back exhaust has been installed. The exhaust not only provides majorly improved flow from the turbo but is almost silent at idle and is only moderatly louder throughout the rev range. The idea of the silent exhasut system is not to pass a warrant or avoid police attention but to be inkeeping with the sleeper nature I am trying to continue on the overall car. Why let people know you have a big exhaust?? all you need to do is show the overall performance of the car.
The exhaust was fitted by Takapuna Mufflers on Barry's Point Rd Takapuna. The only issue I have with the installation is they didn't paint the 2 Coby mufflers black as I asked. Now being that that is the only thing I'm not happy with, who really cares.
A stainless steel exhasut was specifically not fitted because of the noise reduction I was trying to acheive with this sized pipe. The pipe comes staight off the turbo dump pipe so I can change it when the new turbo is fitted, refer Stage 7 |
