WE ARE GOAL ACHIEVERS!!!
To earn the "Goal Achiever" patch, our troop had to meet all of these requirements:
Requirement: Troop sets a goal. During the past three years we have accumulated a list of ideas of things to do with cookie revenues... what do we want to do with our cookie money!?!?! list is long! From going to various amusement parks, making trips, go bowling or movies, Build a Bear, buying camping gear! At one meeting, we voted, and set our Goal: Have a "Build a Bear" party and a "Rainforest Cafe" Party. The plan will be for every girl to build a bear with 2 outfits, accessories, and have lunch, in addition, have a scavenger hunt at the mall. Any remaining money will go to the San Francisco Account. In order to make this event possible, each Scout has to sell 175 boxes of cookies... and that is how the magical 3,150 boxes goal was developed!
Requirement: Troop makes plans on how to reach its goal. The troop discussed how we could reach our goal. Scouts practiced "selling cookies", and at meetings, they shared suggestions and ideas of how they were approaching customers. We also agreed to do booth sales, and how many boxes we wanted to sell at each booth.
Requirement: Troop must reach its goal...
Requirement: Scouts must sell average of 150 boxes each.
Requirement: Each individual Scout sets her own personal goal
Requirement: The troop uses the goal poster provided by Little Brownie Bakers or designs their own goal poster. This poster should be used at booth sales and on display for the parents to see at troop meetings.
Requirement: Plan and carry out an activity for the Gift of Caring Program.
Our Troop brainstormed ideas, and from a list of
options, they picked TBD for Gift of Caring!
In order to earn the Gift of Caring patch our troop must
Choose an organization that has agreed to accept our cookies
Sell an average of 1 Gif of Caring per Girl Scout
Present Gift of Caring to organization
The Troop also earmarked 10% of the Cookie Sale so we an buy materials and make blankets for the Binky Patrol.
In addition to the Troop's goals, each Girl Scout had set her own personal goal... would they like to learn marketing skills? count money? work a Booth Sale? Ask your Girl Scout about her own personal goal! Girl Scouts also earn prize incentives as a result of the number of boxes they sold. These incentives are hers to keep, and they are based on the total number of cookies she sold (taking Order Forms plus pro-rata Booth Sales).
