Current Troop Service Projects

Troop service projects are fun and easier to run because everyone contributes their time, talents and experiences.  Being members of the band, several different sports teams, family activities and demanding school classes, we have limited time some weeks.  It is hard to know which week is available.  It is nice to share the work load among our troop since everyone usually has a different schedule.

Helmet Safety Course
Read about our plans to host a helmet safety course for the children at the Apartment complex of our sister troop. Not only will we teach helmet safety and first aide but we will also demonstrate how a troop of Girl Scouts can make a difference in a community.

Mentoring a New Troop
Read about how we have been mentoring a troop from an intercity low income housing project.

Pizza Ovens

Read about our cheap invention that bakes a pizza.
Instructions are listed.

Worm Farms

Learn to make your own worm farm.  Fascinate children as they watch the worms make tunnels.

Recruitment

Use trip and activity pictures to tell the story of troop activities at our annual scout recruitment round-ups.
