We never ask to be in an emergency situation but if one does occur having the proper skills and knowledge can save a life or prevent permanent injury.

Their family and friends course was fun and helpful.

Badge Plan

Skill #1 Complete a basic first aid course.

Skill #2 Complete a certified CPR course.  The American Heart Association was the most basic CPR course provided. We will continue to search for an opportunity to take a Red Cross course but until then, we will count this one.  The course was in February.

Skill #4 Evaluate your home for fire hazards.  Know how to check and maintain a smoke detector.  Do this at home.  Does the church have one?

Skill #5 Make up a first aide kit.

Tech #3 Learn how to turn off the utilities where you live. Do this one at home with your parents.

Service #2 Help the Heart Association with their registration. Done in February at the Family and Friends day.

Career #5 Read a book or see a movie that is based on an actual disaster.  Discuss the attitudes important to survival.  Watched Tom Hanks and discussed his character in Survivor last year.
