Tidal Waves

A mounding form of wave petunia-great for a sunny garden ground cover.

'Tidal Wave' has a growth habit based on how closely the plants are spaced in the garden - the closer the spacing, the taller the plant. When spaced a minimum of 12 in. apart, it forms a dense, mounded hedge from 16 to 22 in. tall. It can spread up to  2 1/2 to 3 ft. per plant like a ground cover. Excellent Botrytis resistance and quick recovery from rain.

Colors

Try this eye catching bright color.

A unique color.  Lighter and softer than the bright cherry.  Sorry no pictures are available.

Our Growing Plan

This is our first year to try the Tidal Waves so we'll try the same plan as the Waves.

  1. Receive in April after the last frost.
  2. Transplant into six packs
  3. Grow on the ground in the back yard
  4. Need lots of sun and no cold temperatures.
  5. Fertilize with Miracle Grow every 7 to 10 days
  6. Watch color of leaves-Look for a deep green color.
  7. After leaves start to overlap as in the picture to the left, transplant into baskets
  8. Remaining six packs should be spaced out to allow the vines room to grow.
Delivery may need to begin before flowers have fully bloomed.
